Trachelospermum jasminoides (Rhyncospermum jasminoides)

Climbing plant native to China and the Himalayas with woody branches. Evergreen elongated leaves, dark green with lighter undersides, 4-6 cm long and 2-3 cm wide. Blooms abundantly from May to mid-July with terminal clusters of star-shaped, white, and fragrant flowers. In Italy, it is cultivated in all lowland areas both in the ground and in pots, tolerates urban pollution well, and grows vigorously, quickly covering pergolas and walls.
