Tilia tomentosa

Tree native to Europe and the Middle East with a rounded crown. Heart-shaped leaves, dark green on top and silvery underneath. Fragrant and abundant flowers in June–July. If grown in dry soils, it sheds leaves earlier, but it resists drought and pollution. Used in parks and along avenues.
