Tamarix gallica
Large shrub native to southwestern Europe with a spreading crown. Deciduous sea-green leaves, very numerous pink cylindrical flowers gathered in hanging panicles, from late spring to early summer. Grows in all deep, non-calcareous soils. Resistant to strong winds and has the same uses as T. ramosissima.
