American selection of Sophora japonica, different in the following ways: the crown is smaller both in height and in diameter but it is denser; it has a straighter trunk; it flowers earlier, beginning from the 6th year while Sophora japonica begins flowering after the 10th year. Same growing requirements as S. japonica.
