Salix alba
Large tree native to Europe, Asia, and North Africa with a conical crown and branches that hang at the tips and are slender. Deciduous leaves are elongated and silver-green in color. Flowers are gathered in thin ornamental catkins. Grows well along waterways but also thrives in fairly dry soils.
