Pyrus salicifolia 'Pendula' Standard

Deciduous tree with weeping habit because of the main branches which hang down and the long thin secondary branches which grow towards the ground. The bark on the young plants is silvery grey and sometimes the branches have a few thorns. Lanceolate leaves, at first greyish and later turning pale grey or tomentose; they are similar to the leaves of the willow and like these they fall in late autumn. The small, white flowers are grouped together and appear at the same time as the leaves. Withstands drought.
