Prunus serrulata 'Kanzan' (P. serrulata 'New Red')

Flowering cherry tree native to China, a shrub or small tree with a spreading crown. Deciduous leaves initially brown, then bright green and yellow-orange in autumn. Red buds that open into bright pink, double flowers in clusters of 2-5. Requires well-drained soil, used alone or in groups.
