Prunus padus
Shrub or small tree with a dense oval crown and gray bark. Light green leaves with a bluish underside, which turn yellow or red in autumn, stiff and serrated. Flowers in April-May with hanging spikes of small white flowers, fruits with black berries. Grows also in peaty soils but prefers siliceous ones.
