Pittosporum tobira

Shrub native to Japan, Korea, and China, with an ascending and dense crown. Oval and tough leaves, with wavy edges, 10-15 cm long, bright green. Blooms from April to June with 8 cm inflorescences made up of fragrant light yellow flowers. Produces round, green fruits about 2 cm in size. Hardy, quite resistant to salt spray and pollution. Widely spread throughout the Mediterranean.
