Pittosporum heterophyllum Bush
Origin: China. Evergreen shrub with dense bushy habit and upright branches which are slightly slanting at the tips. Obovate leaves, 3-6cm long, 1-2cm wide, glossy dark green on the upper side, paler underneath. Small creamy-white flowers grouped in clusters from April to June. Adapts to all types of soil providing it is well drained, withstands pruning as long as it not too hard. This is the Pittosporum which is most resistant to the cold. Forms excellent hedges and grows very well in containers.
