Pinus strobus
Conifer native to northeastern America with a conical and narrow crown in youth, becoming more irregular with age. Smooth bark, thin and soft blue-green needles. Pendulous cones 15-20 cm long and visually attractive. Hardy, prefers neutral or acidic clay or sandy soils, while it suffers from stagnant water. Used alone or in groups in parks.
