Physocarpus
Shrubs native to North America with a compact crown and trilobed leaves. Deciduous leaves and flowers appear in June–July, gathered in clusters on the previous year's branches. They grow in all garden soils and are tolerant of limestone. They are used alone or in groups, together with other shrubs.
