Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin'

Hybrid of P. glabra and P. serrulata, shrub with an upright and dense crown that can also be trained as a small tree. Evergreen, rigid, oval leaves, 8-12 cm long and 4-6 cm wide, borne on a red stem, initially ruby red, then green with red shades, scarlet in autumn. Blooms in May with small white flowers with pink shades, gathered in very wide inflorescences. Fruits from late summer to late autumn with round fruits about half a centimeter, initially red then black. Grows in all soils but prefers moist, fresh, and loose ones. Used in compact hedges due to its resistance to all types of pruning. Also grown in containers.
