Parrotia persica
Tree native to Persia and the Caucasus, with an erect trunk branched from the base, gray and scaly bark in adult specimens. Deciduous leaves bright green with reddish spots on the edges in spring, yellow, orange, and dark red in autumn. Flowers gathered in crimson clusters, fruits similar to nuts. Grows best in slightly acidic and fresh soils, suffers in dry and compact soils due to its shallow roots. Used alone or in groups in medium and large gardens and parks.
