Paeonia

Herbaceous plant with elongated leaves and flowers that appear in April-May and remain on the plant for a long time. It prefers rich soils that are not too alkaline and grows well in pots as long as the tubers are not removed for many years. A woody variety of peony is also available, in shrub form.
