Osmanthus aquifolium

Evergreen shrub with a rounded and ascending crown. Elliptical or oval leaves with spiny edges, dark green on top and light green underneath, 6-8 cm long and 4-5 cm wide. Blooms in summer-autumn with white, fragrant axillary flowers that are not very showy. Hardy, disease-free, and very resistant to pests, it is used for low-maintenance hedges. Even as an adult, it can live in pots.
