Osmanthus

Shrub with green leaves, sometimes variegated with yellow, white, or red, spiny in some varieties, 4–8 cm long, oval. Except for a few varieties, the others produce white or pale yellow flowers. Hardy regarding soil, some varieties are disease-resistant, and they are often used for borders, hedges, or in pots.
