Nandina domestica Bush
Origin: Asia. Evergreen shrub with upright stems which look like Bamboo. The leaves are pinnate, compound and initially pale pink, becoming green in summer and tinged with reddish-purple in autumn-winter. Large panicles of pinkish-white flowers emerge from the leaves in summer, followed by clusters of bright red, shiny fruit in winter and spring. The best results occur when planted in moist but well-drained soil.
