Origin: The Azores, East and Southern Africa, the Himalayas. Small, evergreen shrub, densely branched, upright, roundish. The shiny green leaves are obovate and elliptic. Reddish-brown flowers in late spring, followed by small azure-lilac fruits. Requires not too moist, well drained soil.
