Mahonia x media 'Charity'
Upright shrub that over time loses leaves at the base, revealing gray stems. Leaves are 40-50 cm long, composed of oval, tough leaflets with spiny edges, bright green. It blooms from December to March with yellow, fragrant terminal racemes. Fruits with clusters of very decorative blue berries that appear right after flowering and last for a long time. Requires rich, fresh, and non-calcareous soil. Used alone, in groups, for hedges or in large pots.
