Ligustrum

Small tree or shrub with an upright, dense crown composed of round or elongated leaves, green or variegated depending on the variety. The flowers are white or white-yellow, very fragrant, and bloom in late spring. Depending on the variety, it is resistant to sea air, pollution, and pruning, and is used for hedges and in containers. The *Ligustrum delavayanum* variety is the most commonly used species for creating topiary art.
