Leycesteria

Shrub native to the Himalayas with straight green branches. Deciduous, light green, heart-shaped leaves up to 18 cm long with a pointed tip. It blooms from June to September with racemes of red-spotted flowers and red-purple bracts. The fruits are red berries. It requires well-drained soil and heavy pruning at the end of winter.
