Ilex crenata 'Convexa'

Shrub native to Japan and Korea with a spreading crown and straight branches. The leaves are oval or elongated, 2-3 cm long, green. The small white flowers bloom in April-May. The fruits are black, shiny, about 6 mm, and remain on the plant for a long time. It requires non-calcareous, loose, and rich soils, and suffers in dry climates. It is used for groups and hedges thanks to its resistance to all types of pruning.
