Ilex aquifolium agrifoglio

Shrub or tree native to Europe and Northeastern Africa, with a narrow, conical crown and bark that is green initially, then gray. The leaves have spiny edges, are 5-7 cm long, glossy, and dark green. It blooms in April-May with small violet-white flowers, followed by red berries that remain on the plant from September to January. It grows in any soil, is cold-resistant, and tolerates severe pruning. Used alone, in groups, or for hedges.
