Hedera

Climbing or sprawling plants that, once they reach the top of their support, become bushy with entire (non-lobed) leaves. They bloom in autumn with yellow inflorescences, followed by black fruits. Hardy when grown in the ground, they adapt to all soil types, exposures, and the presence of other plants, preferring deep, calcareous soils. When grown in pots, they should not be exposed to direct sunlight but prefer well-ventilated areas, require little water in winter, and need well-drained soil. They tolerate pruning at any time of the year.
