Gleditsia triacanthos 'Sunburst'

North American variety of G. triacanthos without thorns and with an initially pyramidal and sparse crown, which later broadens and becomes more compact. The leaves are bright yellow, turning light green in summer. It does not bear fruit; the flowers and cultivation requirements are those of the typical species. It is used in all types of gardens and for lining streets due to its resistance to pollution.
