Genista

Shrub native to the Balkan Peninsula with a dense crown and gray, arching branches. The deciduous leaves are elliptical, pointed at the tip, and about 2 cm long. It blooms in May-June with bright yellow flowers. Hardy regarding soil, it prefers dry and arid soils. It is used in rock gardens, slopes, and embankments.
