Fothergilla major (Fothergilla monticola)

Shrub native to the United States with deciduous oval leaves, dark green in spring and displaying beautiful colors ranging from yellow to red in autumn. It blooms in March-April, before the leaves, with aromatic white flowers gathered in ascending racemes.
