Dyospiros
Large shrub or small tree native to Florida, South America, and the West Indies, although in our regions it is grown in pots as a small shrub with occasionally thorny branches. The leaves are oval and green, while the flowers are grouped in light purple racemes and remain on the plant until autumn. The fruits are small, fleshy, and yellow-orange. It requires light, well-drained soil.
