Cupressus
Conifer with a generally columnar crown, with a trunk branched along its entire length. The leaves are evergreen and scaly, in colors ranging from steel blue to green and yellow. Flowering, if it occurs, produces yellow terminal flowers, and the fruits are called "coccole," round and 2–3 cm in size. Cultivation requirements vary depending on the variety, and it is mainly used for tree planting and topiary art (especially with C. macrocarpa "Goldcrest").
