Cryptomeria japonica 'Globosa Nana' Bush
Dwarf conifer, globular, characteristic because of the green branches when the plant is young, which are short, soft, semi-woody and curve and overlap each other forming a compact sphere which in time becomes flattened.Soft, needle-like leaves, 6-12cm long, very bright green changing to bright or less bright reddish-bronze in winter, depending on how cold the weather is. Suitable soil is deep, fertile, well-drained, not calcareous. For best plant performance the atmosphere must be humid; will not tolerate dry climates.
