Clerodendrum trichotomum Bush
Origin: China, Japan, Java Island. Large shrub or small tree, deciduous leaves, sometimes suckering. Dark green leaves, ovate or elliptic, 10-20 cm long. Flowers form from August to October, pink in bud, white when open, so abundant they almost outnumber the leaves, followed immediately by just as many fleshy fruits, round, pale blue encircled by a reddish-purple calyx. Grows well even in poor soil.
