Cinnamomum
Tree or large shrub native to China and Japan, with a very dense and broad crown and an upright trunk, with bark that is initially green, then turns grey with patches, from which camphor is extracted. The leaves are leathery, can reach up to 18 cm in size, have three prominent veins and are pointed oval in shape, initially pink in color, then bright green, and bluish on the underside. The flowers appear in spring-summer and are not very noticeable, while the fruits are round and black. It requires well-drained, fertile soil.
