Celastrus

Dioecious plant native to East Asia, climbing, twining, and vigorous. The deciduous leaves are light green in spring and bright yellow in autumn, about 10 cm long. In summer, it blooms with small green flowers, followed by yellow cluster fruits containing pink and red seeds. It requires well-drained soils.
