Capparis
Shrub native to Europe and India with long, climbing or drooping, slender and slightly spiny branches. The deciduous leaves are bright green, very tough, and oval-shaped. Flowers appear in summer; they are white with pink shades and very fragrant. The buds are “capers,” a widely used condiment. They are grown in pots but thrive especially among rocks and in sunny wall openings.
