Phyllostachys viridis (Phyllostachys mitis)

Running bamboo native to China, with very tall culms reaching a diameter of 10 cm, initially upright and then gently arching, pale green in color with nodes initially covered by a silvery bloom. The leaves are dense, light green, and the shoots are very good to eat.
