Bambusa metake 'Variegata' (Pseudosasa japonica 'Variegata')

Clumping bamboo with reddish-purple culms and drooping tips. The leaves are 10 to 20 cm long and have yellow stripes. It is cold- and drought-resistant, grows well outdoors but also adapts to indoor environments, provided it receives plenty of light in both cases.
