Asimina

Native to North America, shrub or small deciduous tree with a dense crown. The leaves are oval, 20–30 cm long, green in spring and yellow in autumn. It blooms in spring with violet flowers made up of 6 petals, up to 5 cm wide. The fruits are cylindrical, ovoid, with smooth skin in spring and yellow-brown when ripe, edible and refreshing in taste.
