Amelanchier lamarckii Bush

Origin: USA. Small deciduous tree, with tightly fastigate habit. Oval leaves, 2.50-4 cm long, blood red on forming, turning immediately green, shiny red in autumn. White starlike flowers, grouped in short racemes, mid-April, at least a week earlier than A. lamarckii. Small, round, edible berries, reddish-pink, violet when ripe. Growing requirements: like A. lamarkii.
