Alnus incana
Native to Europe, Western Asia, and North America, it has a pyramidal and very dense crown. The leaves are dark green with a gray underside, oval, broad, and pointed in shape. The flowers are gathered in catkins 7-10 cm long, while the fruits are brown-gray cones less than 2 cm in size. It grows in soils from moderately dry to moist and calcareous, but does not grow in soils with stagnant moisture.
