Agave

Plant native to the warm and arid areas of the southern states of North America, later widely spread throughout the Mediterranean basin. The leaves are fleshy, arranged in a rosette, ending with a spine and often toothed along the edges. After many years, they produce pale yellow flowers at the top of very tall stems. They are very resistant to the sea.
