Aesculus hippocastanum 'Baumannii'
Selected in France in 1822, it is similar to the variety described above but smaller. The leaves are the same, while the flowers are sterile doubles, grouped in shorter and denser panicles. It blooms longer but does not produce fruit, and for this reason is used in city avenues. The cultivation requirements are the same as A. hippocastanum.
