Acer campestre

Originating from Europe and Asia Minor. It is a very common plant in Italy, as it grows wild except in the south. The leaves are deciduous, medium-small, initially tinged with pink and then turn green during the growing season and yellow in autumn; the underside is woolly. Flowers appear in April-May and are yellow-green, clustered in upright racemes, and it produces green samaras tinged with pink. It also grows well in dry and calcareous soils, is very resistant to urban environments and tolerates all types of pruning.
