Our Plants
Acacia
They are almost all native to Australia and are often mistakenly called mimosas. Acacias are small trees or shrubs that grow very quickly in well-drained, neutral or acidic soils. The evergreen leaves can be small and dark green or pinnate with a bluish-green hue. The flowers are yellow and round, emitting a honey-like fragrance. They grow well in sunny locations, in zones 10 (orange zone) and 9 (olive zone). They are resistant to coastal climates and produce stunning blooms even in pots, provided they are sheltered during the coldest months and given the right amount of acidic soil.
